I played through the Elden Ring half a year ago.
Strong opponents defeated me many times,
and I almost gave up.
But as I leveled up my character,
I was able to beat him.
Leveling up.
In video games, my character becomes stronger
just by repeating monotonous actions.
In real life, what kind of leveling up is there?
Some of the things that come to mind are
practicing for athletic meets,
studying for college entrance exams, etc.
But there were not many times when I
realized that I had level up.
I think many people realize that their level had
increased when the results are clear,
such as passing a university exam.
The increase in level is obvious in Elden ring
because of character’s parameter is visible.
Also, the enemy to be defeated is clear.
The player can proceed straight
toward the goal.
In raising my level in real life, I cannot check
my parameters as in Elden ring.
So I cannot check my growth objectively.
Perhaps the following a. b. is important
in raising the level (effort) at real life.
a. Quantify and record your level-up (effort)
b. Be clear about your goals.
My character in Eldenring is already
strong enough.
Comfortable to play.
If you persist with a and b above,
you should be comfortable in life.
thanks.
